Two teenage girls in Liverpool become bonded by their shared obsession with a local football star — Lee Cassidy. They idealize him and fantasize about his life, and when they finally cross paths with him one night, their fantasies collide with a harsher reality. What begins as infatuation turns into a dramatic, sometimes dangerous situation as they try to assert control over the object of their desires and confront what their obsession says about themselves and their lives.
Directed by Lindy Heyman and set in Liverpool, England – the story explores youth culture, celebrity worship, and class divisions in a gritty urban context.
